Super Mario Advance is a solid port of a classic NES game.

User Rating: 7.8 | Super Mario Advance GBA
Super Mario Advance is a port of Super Mario Bros. 2 on the NES. The game hold up pretty well and keeps all the fun the original had. The gameplay is exactly the same but is worth playing through a second time. If you've never played Super Mario Bros. 2, it's quite a bit different from classic Mario games. You can play as either Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Peach. Each have there strengths and weaknesses. Also, you pick up vegetables and throw them. You see, originally SMB2 was a port of a Japanese game called Doki Doki Panic so SMA is a port of a port. You can still jump like before in other Mario games.

The graphics look great. They have been upgraded so it fits the Gameboy Advance more. They look a bit better, or maybe the same as a Super Nintendo game but better than a Nintendo game. The music holds up well to. It has been redone making it clearer. Some horrid voice samples have been added though.

The game is kind of long. Not overly long but long enough for a Mario game. It is also packed with the arcade hit Mario Bros. which will provide you with hours of multiplayer fun and trying to beat your own personal high scores. This game is worth a purchase.
