At its core, "Super Mario 3D World" might just seem like a more blown-up version of "Super Mario 3D Land" on the Wii U. Whether or not that's true is beyond me, but I can tell you this: "Super Mario 3D World" is absolutely fantastic.
It's tremendous and fun to play, the visuals are fantastic, the level design is brilliant, the music is beautifully composed, and the ability to play cooperatively with four players in a 3D "Mario" game (even if there's debate about it being a true 3D "Mario" game) only adds to the fun. Let's also not forget that there's plenty of challenge here (so you won't be breezing through the game in a snap), there is plenty to do and a good difficulty curve, meaning that the adventure as a whole won't feel overly bland or simplistic.
Sure, the camera can be finicky with four players, but all things told, "Super Mario 3D World" is truly one of the Wii U's best titles and it's a game that absolutely shouldn't be missed.
