One of the greatest inventions ever mastered by NINTENDO!
There isn’t much to be said, it was jammed into your SNES and the games sat atop it, like a king on a wobbly throne! The graphics were more colored (this was before the GBC was invented, so a light shade of gray was far better than that awful puke yellow-green color!) and it made it so much easier to view. It let you select an outside skin to the picture, you chose from a gameboy skin or a selection of other vibrant colors, this wasn't all that impressive, but worth mentioning. The controls were the same, so the other 4 buttons available on the SNES controller were dubbed useless, but again, not a problem, cause you weren't usto playing these titles with those buttons anyway! I remember playing such gems as Final Fantasy Legends 2 on this baby! It made the game more enjoyable and much more memorable! This was just the perfect item for anyone who loved one of the many good games available for the original GB, and from what I remember it was reasonably priced at that! (20 bucks maybe?)
Anyway, back in the day it was revolutionary to those who loved the on-the-go games but were spending some time indoors. Nowadays the tides have returned and Nintendo did the same with the GBA & GameCube called GameBoy Player! I guess good things always come back into style!
