A great strategy game with some entertaining features included. Fun for anyone who enjoys the board game.
Just to give an example of how the game functions, I will provide you with a basic battle scenario. Ok, first its your turn, and let's say you decide to move your battleship 3 space up. Then you move your smaller ships one space each. Then your opponent goes, and he moves his battle ship as far as he can go. Basically, you keep moving until you get into range, and along the way you battle turrets on land. Now, you only have 1 battleship left, and you are in range of the enemy battleship. So you select the fire mode.
All of a sudden, the game changes from a simple 3rd person view to an amazing 1st person view. You are looking out from the guns of your ship as you take aim. You fire a shot, and hit the tip of the boat. The enemy boat begins to shake as you take your next shot. Then you hit the boat dead center, and fires begin to spread. Finally, you hit the boat dead center again, and the boat crumples and sinks. You feel proud that you won, and you even get a welcome back sign when you bring the boat back to the US fleet. That is basically how the game plays, and although it may not sound very exciting when I explain it, it is actually very entertaining.
One thing that I thought was really cool about Super Battleship was that they included the original battleship game with it. That is the one where you place your ships on a grid in whatever way you want, and you opponent does the same. Then, you pretty much choose random spaces on the grid to attack, and eventually you find the ship, because you can't see it on the grid unless you hit part of the ship.
Super Battleship is a fun battleship game, and there are few games like it. I think it would be nice if they made a sequel on the GC or the Revolution, because you don't exactly see many battleship video games out there. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes the board game.
