Attractive exterior with a disappointing revelation

User Rating: 6.5 | Summon Night Twin Age: Seireitachi no Kyoumei DS
I had great hopes for the Summon Night series.
This would have been my first game from the SN series, and I've heard so many good things about it.

Perhaps I've chosen the wrong game, and I'm willing to give it another chance, should it come to the DS again, or the point I actually get to getting a PsP Vita.

Storyline: 5.6
Repetitive, I've seen it before.
It's the typical "World changes because of human intervention, Hero resets it back".
I know it's generic, but the way they present it should be very important, instead of blatantly throwing it in your face.
You practically know the end from chapter 0.

Sad to say, nothing about the storyline impressed me at all.

Art: 8.5
The art would have been the thing that even made me buy the game.
The characters were adorable, attractive and pleasant to look at.
The maps were relatively well drawn, and the monsters were also quite cute-ish? (Maplestory kind?)

Gameplay: 6.0
Boring, repetitive. Moving through the maps eventually becomes a gigantic chore in the backside.
The touch screen was also very cluttered with actions, commands and items, not very effective usage of the touch screen, which should have been limited to a few icons to prevent complexity.

Re-playability: 3.1
This game features multiple save slots, so you could restart from the last chapter to end up with the person you want to, there's not really any kick in replaying the game.
