A disastrous attempt to revive the franchise.
First off, the menu is poor, why's that? I believe they did not have time or money to finish this game. Let's take a look at the Free Build mode. Here we find two maps to build your castle... Were they serious with this? They offer me two broken, small, uninspired maps to build my castle? I just spent $50 on this game, I expected something better. The editor also keeps messing up, no matter what map I choose, it always says that I can't see it. Let's try out Skirmish mode. Wait a minute, where's the Skirmish mode? I don't believe this, the best feature in the series is gone. Were they even trying? Story mode is also nothing spectacular, it's pretty boring and instead of some action between the missions they show you drawn pictures. There's nothing wrong with art, but they could do something better.
Graphics look nothing better than Stronghold 2. Music is acceptable, but they reused the same voice acting for people. What's up with that? You tell me, that this is their idea for reviving the series - reusing the same voice acting, but not putting something we love? Skirmish mode, many huge maps, almost no bugs and all that good stuff? They even used a new engine for this game, I can't believe it - everything looks like crap. Bottom line - Stronghold 3 blows and is one of the biggest failures I've seen in a while.
I didn't really like Stronghold 2 that much, but it is god compared to this game. I can't believe that they messed up Stronghold 3 this bad. How could they sell it for 50 bucks? Don't even look at this disaster of video game programming, I tell you - stay away from this horrible game.
