A much overdo hd rerelease of argueably the best installment of the street fighter series yet, rivaled only by SF alpha 3 in terms of replayability. It is a faithful arcade port, and adds a couple of modes and of course, on-line support. although it is not truly an hd remake(features new filters) this is a definate can't miss for anyone interested in fighting games, or itching for that arcade feeling that very few games scratch recently. A hyper furious hardcore pixeltripping 2d fighter that just cannot be topped. With its elegant system of parrying, cancels, supers, ex moves, and frantic aerial combat, this is an instant classic to those new to it, and proves to the loyal that this fighter's teeth haven't dulled in the 12 years since it's initial release, this beloved title is back with a vengence. featuring a full gallery of promo artwork, days of replay value, and all the options you can shake a stick at, this title really shows fans some love. It even includes all the original dip switch settings for the true arcade enthusiasts. My only complaints are that joining online matches seems to be buggy, although this will be patched in time presumeably, and that like with the version included in the street fighter anniversary collection for xbox, they have removed some frames of the originally liquid smooth animations in favor of enabling more reliable online matches. unfortunate for the fans that remember how good it once looked, but inevitable for online play. Those issues aside, this is one of the best games of all time, and it's only $15.
