The Online Edition is a must have for "Street Fighter III" and fighting fans.

User Rating: 9 | Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition X360

"Street Fighter III" has always been an underrated entry in the franchise. Released at a time when 3D fighters were dominating the arcades, it was quickly dismissed by most players. Maybe one of the reasons for its unpopularity was the lack of SF II characters featured in the game. Or perhaps it just seemed too familiar to many fighting fans. But either way, SF III gained a cult following as time passed by. In retrospect, this is a very enjoyable fighter that included some nice new additions such as the parry moves and a performance rating system.

Developer Iron Galaxy has given the "Third Strike" iteration an excellent HD makeover. The 360 version not only includes online competitive modes, but contains numerous challenges, tutorials, display options and unlockable artwork. Even if you own a previous port of "Street Fighter III", this release may still appeal to you due to the extras and polished up visuals. But if you're a newbie, this should be a must-have. The roster includes many cool characters that never appeared in any other Capcom fighter including "Q" and "Twelve". Overall, both new and old fans of the franchise should look into adding this to their collection. It looks great, sounds good and runs perfectly smooth online. I'd rate it with a 9 out of 10.
