A game that shut up the saying of the sequel is never as good as the original the same way the movie "Aliens" was to "Alien" This game started a trend of Street Fighter II games and set a bar so high, it took a while before another one on one fighting game could challenge SFII. The game was an arcade smash, and Nintendo was smart to make this game for its console, the Super Nintendo in which the sales skyrocketed. The game just is a classic, the characters are great, and each character has a story of why they are fighting in this crazy tournament. My personal favorite characters are Ryu, Guile, Chun Li, Zangief, Ken, and Blanka. Each character has their own moves too, and each has a weakness so one needs to stay on their toes and try to stay two steps ahead of your opponent in case you leave yourself open to a punch in the nose. Though this game has lost its zeal from its hey day, and you can pick up either Turbo, Alpha, Super, or maybe a Street Fighter game for the PS2, I think anyone should play this game once if you like video games.
