One of the Greatest fighting games of all time now on the PSP. Everything that made Alpha 3 great and more is here .
Graphic- this is one of the better looking version of the game. The wide screen of the PSP makes the game look so good, even with characters jumping in and out in the Variable Battle Mode (A mode where you get to select two character and switch between them in the fight) or the Dramatic Battle and Reverse Dramatic Battle (2 vs 1& 1 vs 2) the animation is always fast and fluid, there's no real drop in the frame rate and all the backgrounds, characters, and special effects look great. The game is really a sight to behold and shows of the glory of 2d fighter are ment to be.
Gameplay- There's a load of game types to play in Max, any fan will be in for a treat and new comers will get to see whats so great about 2d fighting after playing this. The controls are smooth and the action is fast, using the d-pad to pull off fire-balls and dragon-punches is easy. While 2 more face buttons would of been a plus, using the four button and the two shoulder buttons isn't bad either, you can customize them to your liking. All that's great about Alpha 3 is here, additional all the extra just makes this the version to have even if you played it in the past.
Value - what a value Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max is, it's a near perfect version of one of the best fighting games ever now in your pocket. There's so much to do either playing in the single player modes or in the multi-player ad-hoc modes. World tour will have you hooked, it a mode where you take a single character and get to level up stamina and attack by winning battles, you also strengthen their X-ism, A-ism, V-ism, creating one ultra power bad-ass. For all you newcomers ism are the different types of super combos in the game X - ism is one single super combo that has alot of power like in Super Street Fighter 2, and Street fighter 3, A - ism let you have 3 or more super combos with 3 different levels of strength, and V - ism is a custom super combo where you can link different special and normal moves together. In the Multiplayer mode you get to play single, team, dramatic, and variable modes head to head with anyone how has a PSP and a copy of the game.
This is a full featured PSP game, not only does it have everything that made the classic series great, it also brings in some cool new extra that breaths some new life into the series. Whether you're a fan of 2d fighter or just want something great that's easy to pick up and play, and also has loads of replay value I Highly recommend you look no further than Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max. It's a classic redone right!
