Starcraft is simply one of the best games ever made.
Great gameplay, funny and wonderful voice acting, great graphics (for its time), many humorous moments, story keeps you paying attention to the end.
The Bad:
Took almost a decade to spawn a sequel.
Gameplay: 10
The gameplay is largely point and click, though this may sound like an eye roller, it's really not all that bad. Point and click is basically all you need to do as far as movement, but the other gameplay is using your brain for stratedgy.
Graphics: 10
Great graphics for its time, the characters that come in the box at the bottom of the screen all look pretty good and their animations are decent, the lipsync goes out every now and then but iths harldy noticeable enough to even care. All the characters models look pretty good, and its always a guilty pleasure to watch a character explode in blood and guts when they die.
Sound: 10
The voice acting is brilliantly done and largely is humorous, the lines in the game are mainly why I have loved the game for all these years, it's been great to relive all of the classic moments that I remember living as a kid. The music and sound effects are really well done as well, the static of the Terran as they say "Go ahead commandar" or "Go go go!" is a nice touch. Value: 10
For a game that thousands of people haven't gotten tired of for all these years, I think that pretty much sums up the value.
Final Words:
Starcraft is quite simply the best RTS game ever made, and possibly the most addictive one. With great humor, great story, and all that jazz, Starcraft is a game that can definelty be put down as one of the Greatest of All Time.
