LucasArts bring us back to the Battlefront, and this time around, its not half bad.

User Rating: 8.5 | Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron (Bundle) PSP
A long time ago, on the planet Earth, George Lucas created a story that would change the course of pop-culture and sci-fi movies forever. A story of a triumvirate group to fight the Empire. It has spanned movies, tv shows, books, toys, shirts, you name it. In the video game industry, Star Wars games have always been a must-have for Star Wars fans. Who would not want to be Luke Skywalker with the power of the Force? Who would not want to be a Rebel foot-soldier off to battle the Empire? You can get that feeling and many more with Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron.

Gameplay wise, the game delivers on all cylinders. The controls are really easy to learn and work really well. Game modes for Renegade Squadron bring back the classics you loved from Battlefront II; Campaign, Galactic Conquest, and Instant Action. The addition of online play is also another great addition. The campaign for Renegade Squadron brings great depth to the game. You follow one of the members of Han Solo's secret armies, bent on destroying the Empire from the inside. While the story is great and adds good backstory to the movies, it didnt go far enough. First off, the campaign is kind of short. If you can get in a full days worth of play, you can finish the campaign in four to five hours. Other than campaign, the usual Conquest mode and Instant Action offer tons of hours of fun, with many planets and arenas to battle on. The AI for Battlefront isnt that great. On normal difficulty, the enimies act like brainless zombies while you weave in and out of their ranks, killing each one with ease. Your friendly AI counterparts will sit back and relax while you do everything. As far as I'm concerned, you are on your own for the whole game.
Online is a great addition. Loading is fast, and the action is oh so beautiveful. You will have at least a hundred great moments to remember from playing. Other than that, thats about it, just four major modes that will keep you occupied for hours. I think it needs more.

One cool feature that I thought was awsome was the custamization. You can change everything about your characters; the body type, race, color, and emblem. You can do this for FOUR different groups, which is really cool. It offers a sense of ownership to make the game more of your own.

Presentation wise, the game looks and feels really good. With the classic John Williams soundtrack going on in the background, the classic weapon sounds, it sounds just like a Star Wars game should. Graphics wise, the game shows great visuals and good animation. While is won't win any handheld graphics awards, it really has a good look.

All in all, Renegade Squadron is an awsome addition to your PSP collection. All of the great action and feel of Star Wars on the go, who doesnt want that?
It offers great gameplay, easy to learn controls, and a Star Wars feel that you would only expect to see out of a movie. Even though it offers a small amount of content, you will enjoy the game for hours and hours on end. BUY IT, all Star Wars fans will love it.
