Great game! I play it very much and it never gets old. The game offers many different ways to play. You can play conquest, capture the flag, and others. The best part is the instant action mode where you can chose any battlefield you like; from Hoth to Geonosis, Tantive lV to Coruscant, and so many others. Overall, the land battles are excellent, as there is so much to do and so many battlegrounds. Also in instant action, you can choose from several space battlefields where you can do battle against enemy capital ships and frigates. Overall, the space combat is good, but not great. It is still enjoyable though. Also, the game gives you the option to chose from the Galactic Civil War or the Clone Wars. Both are fun, but one of the downsides of this game is that some places only offer Galactic Civil War while others may only offer Clone Wars. This does make sense as I am sure there wasn't a Clone Wars battle on Hoth, which is why it is not available. Still, it would be a nice improvement. Once a game mode, battlefield, and era had been chosen, you go to battle. You start a CPs, or command posts, where you can pick a class of soldier to play as. There are regular soldiers, grenadiers, engineers, snipers, and two special class to that team, like for example, jet troopers and clone commanders are the special class of the Republic. Once in battle, if you are the highest killing person on your team, you will occasionally get the offer to become a hero or villan (depending on your team). If you accept, you may become Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Yoda, Mace Windu, Darth Mal, etc. After each round, the game will save your stats, which in time will grow and special bonuses will be awarded in game like bonus damage, damage reduction and special weapons. And this is all just in instant action!! There are other things you can do, including Galactic Conquest. This is where there is a map of either the Clone Wars or Galactic Civil War era. You have several fleets that move across the map in turns. Your goal is to capture every planet and destroy all the enemy fleets. If you attack an area with an enemy fleet, a space battle will ensue, with the loser's fleet being destroyed. If you attack an enemy planet with no fleet, then a land battle will ensue. If the defender wins, the enemy's fleet with be destroyed. If the attacker wins, then the planet is now theirs. This continues until a winner is determined. Lastly, there is the Rise of The Empire campaign mode. This is where you play as a clone trooper going through many battles of the Clone Wars. Short movies and objectives are thrown in to make it feel more like actual missions. During this campaign, you will see the fall of the Republic, the rise of The Empire, and the struggle against the Rebels.
This is a very good game that is sure to satisfy! If you're smart, you will buy this game.
