Great for a fan of shooters or Star Wars.
Gameplay: Your objective is to either conquer all command posts and maintain them, or completely destroy the opposing force. Choose to be the Republic, CIS, Empire, or Rebels, all with their own pros and cons. You have the option of 1st or 3rd person perspective, which is nice depending on what you're best at.
Play through all the classic SW battles, plus ones that you missed between episodes. Thoughroly addicting. Employ your own strategies with the different abilities of the units at place, including basic blasters, thermal detonators, and a wide array of vehicles. What this game is missing it makes up for in the sequel, SW Battlefront II; vehicle battles in space, and playable jedi.
The splitscreen mode is executed well. It makes campaign easier, and its just plain fun to shoot each other. Multiplayer online is also available, though i have yet to explore that. Overall a great Star Wars game.
