STO with the Romulan Expansion = fun times indeed!

3 years ago - STO was in bad shape. Fast Forward to May 2013 and Cryptic Studios has done a LOT To clean it up, make it fun and lots of content. It is free2play - you chose your options. No cost for the new Romulan Expansion. Upgrades to interface, fun gaming and (like NeverWinter) player made content via FOUNDRY toolset!

The missions and scope of all the things you can do are quite deep and plentiful. It has some burps but the devs work HARD each week to patch things and improve things (sometimes its hard to find bugs when 25,000 beta testers play - but much easier once 500k-900k folks join lol).

Graphics, sound, Star Trek immersion all there. Space fighting is much more fun than Eve aka Spreadsheet Wars in Space. It is action combat and you need to THINK about your positioning, turn rate, speed etc.

Mature community compared to most mmos (friendly, intelligent, mostly -trekkie). More fun than SWTOR or Eve.

Friendly and fun game - awesome storyline (unless you hate Star Trek...then we'd point you to the Left (SWTOR) or the Right (EVE).
