Must have for jRPG fans. Great story, intrensting characters and lots of FUN.
Story beging from an a assault to your home planet. Soon enough you will find yourseft on a rescue capsule heading to one of many cosmose base store a survivors in case of war. Then your base are attacked and destroyed but you are a only one who was survive. You escape in another rescure capsule and landed on a undiscover planet. You must obey a National Law about not showing people more advanced discoveries than they own so u are creating a sword. And that how a strory begins. You jump from planet to planet, meeting new people, doing quests etc.
Graphics looks good for a PS2 and if you are not a graphic geek you will enjoy it. Characters have a nice mime, special attack and spells effect are great. Of course it is not a perfect. When you are walking at wasteland they looks empty. There are only rocks, trees, monsters and you. They [game authors] did not concocter details. Shame but still graphics looks good.
Battle system. I am a great fun of turn-based cRPG and there we have a full-time encounter. When you start game it is easy but later when you have to heal yourself or attack enemies with special magic elements it can be a little complicated. Also you other characters are hard to control. For example, when you turn on a special move [that drain you HP but do a monstrous damage to monster] and a enemy have a immunity to psyhical attacks you are scre... It is annoying to turn on/off a battle skills after couple of fights.
In my opinion music are the best part of the game. It was composed by a Motoi Sakuraba. Track are variety and they match to a situations. Some of them are a calm piano tunes, other are more strong rock work. For only a music I give strong 9/10
Why 8.5/10 ?
For some reasons. Game can be boring somwhere in middle, battle system is to easy, monsters are wrong ballanced, sometimes in one location you will chop enemies with smile on you face, but in next dungeon you will spout on a difficulty level. Specialy on a Normal/Hard.
Anyway I recommend this game. If you have a PS2 and some cash in wallet and you are a fan of FF series or jRPG generally just buy it. You won't be disappointed.
