The best of the greatest of all time. Truely it is a work of art that will always be praised for its' craftsmanship.

After all the games that I have played in my life, this is the only one I can still go back to and enjoy playing after all this time. 13 years already! I am sure that after all this time that I have still not explored every system. I love the openess of the game the most. In fact, winning, is at the bottom of my priorities when I play it. I just like to flail around the universe for a couple years and call it a game.
I've actually never beaten the game which is amusing to me. I get so wrapped up in exploration that I don't really care about the Ur-Quan. Of course, I've also found out that if I beat a game that I lose interest in it. So, I'll make sure to never win Star Control II so I always feel like playing it. Hmmm, I'm so good at not winning that.....
Anyway, this is my personal choice for greatest game of all time because of the aliens, resource collecting, building, diplomacy, fighting, flying, mischief, customization, data gathering, exploration, variety, text, ships, allies, enemies, Ariloulaleelay and wit.
This is the only game that I have ever pronounced to be a Perfect 10.0.
