While SSX was probably one of the best games on the PS2 - this version was just annoying.
The gameplay was still solid for the mostpart - however, to play this game you have to LOVE the announcer yelling - "TRICKY" every oh i dont know TWO SECONDS...
Seriously I'm not over-reacting its that often.
Despite the sound flaws and boring music the gameplay is still there - there wasnt enough updrages (unless you include a countless amount of weird hats to wear on your characters) to make this worthwhile.
People were desperate for more SSX action and took the small graphical and character upgrades and declared it as good as the first - but really...sound problems/annoyances combined with equal or lesser fun gameplay make this game OK at best.
Stick with SSX and wait for SSX 3 - youll be much better off.
