A decent platformer.

In Spyro the Dragon you play as a dragon called Spyro. All of the other dragons have been frozen by Gnasty Gnorc and you have to rescue them. There are a lot of levels but you don't have to complete all of them. There are several homeworlds and there is a boss level in each one. The gameplay and graphics are great and the sound is superb. You have a variety of abilities including firing flames, charging and gliding. But you can't hover, a problem that Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer rectified. Overall this game is great value and is an essential purchase for all Playstation and Playstation 2 owners.
