Another sad example of a classic game, sold and ruined. With little to look forward to it's no wonder it's poorl

Dear old Spyro has been claimed a victim to the world of sold and repackaging.I must say that without playing Enter the dragonfly before hand this game was a sever let down.

Spyro to me was a childhood classic. A game I was fond of and comfortable saying I enjoyed.

This new Spyro still captured his personality, but the new content of the game goes completely out of the elements and style that Insomniac instilled into the older gamers.

First when you begin to play the game, the characters look almost laughable. The new boss ,red ,was the first mistake this game took.

Mistake number two was when they brought classic boss (sorry if I misspell) Nasty G'norc back to life. I didn't even recognize him, I felt like a part of me was ripped out with him being brought back. Money bags the bear.... for some reason the stuck up miser has a new wardrobe and invested into a series of store chains along with a annoying accent.

With several new characters being brought in that are hard to care about, you tend to careless about the game. You look forward to the game play, which is weak and overused. The new concept of dark crystals was lacking. I just didn't feel the importance of them. The bosses didn't seem to pose a threat to me, making their defeat pointless in my eyes and the journey from area to area wasn't an accomplishment anymore, I felt no progression.

I could be ragging too hard on the game though. The new material added with the dragon eggs was a neat idea. Collecting certain eggs to unlock new characters was something new brought into Spyro that I enjoyed. Being able to be another playable character through unlocking via eggs was interesting enough to keep me looking. And a few new aspects, such as the items in moneybags shops, keep me curious enough to mess with them.

Due to my loyalty of the old games I might not have been open minded enough. To new fans of the series, I suppose might want to check it out for game play at the slightest. With all the shallow characters, horribly designed bosses and lack of accomplishment, it might not even be worth it.
