Splatterhouse is a great action adventure game that any fans of metal, gore, and horror, should not miss out on.
Splatter house consists of 12 levels that are extremely liner and only once or twice gives you two routes to take. Combat is i fight from room to room as you clear enemy's out to advance further. Though a few times through the game it sprinkles variety in with environmental puzzles. Impaling enemy's to spikes is standard fare. But this is were the fun lies, within the bloody as hell fights with the undead and the one liners you mask delvers on a regular basis.
But be warned the 11th level is one to test your patience and can break even the most hardcore gamers spirit. Its long, its cheap, and it gives no mercy.
The collectibles in splatter house are some of the best i have seen, right behind batman arkham asylum. Each level has several torn pieces of photos, photos if a may ad, that are of you nude girlfriend. this makes collecting worth it(for the guys).
There are also 6 survival arenas that pit you against 20 waves of increasingly harder enemy's. This provides a great distraction and merits at least 1 playthrough.
And the end of the features list may be the most important. Packaged as unlockables the original 3 splatter house games. This in my opinion warrents the purchase of splatter house, seeing that they go for big bucks on eBay.
In the end this is a great game and would highly recommended it to fans of action adventure games, 80's horror flicks, heavy metal, or lots of gore.
