Namco rocks at fighting games.

User Rating: 9 | SoulCalibur III PS2
Okay. I'll start the review off by telling my personal opinion on Namco fighters. I've been a devoted fan since Soul Calibur II and this is a game worthy of the SC name. In fact, it's my favorite in the series. Well, I don't have SCIV yet. But I'll be looking for work in several weeks. The best addition, for me, is character creation. I've created mostly female characters. My first custom character is a ninja named Tina. If I could give her a character profile, trust me, I have a pretty good idea. She'd be from a long line of fighters. But now, I need to review the other stuff. There are a few new characters. That's with personalities though. There are plenty of unlockable characters without a particular background. But there are also blank spots in the roster for the more original unlockable characters. My favoritu characters in the series are Xianghua, Cassandra, Tira, Siegfried, and Nightmare. The fighting system is awesome and there are plenty of great weapons to unlock for the characters whether it be by achieving a certain objective in the story or just buying it in the in-game store. There's plenty to love about this Namco fighter. And if you've never played their work before this is as good a place to start as any. Check it out.

Concept 9: A Namco fighter on par with the company's work on Tekken 5.

Graphics 9: You did read on par with Tekken on the last line, did you?

Sound 9: Did I mention on par with Tekken anywhere here? Seriously.

Playability 9: It's hard tho call this shallow.

Entertainment 9: This game is proof that Namco fighters are awesome.

Replay Value 9: Keep at it. It's that deep.
