I don't understand the hate for Sonic R. It has a wonderful soundtrack, and possibly one of the better Saturn games.

C'mon, you gotta like the soundtrack. Sure, you may mute the volume when Grandma comes into your room and yells: "Dinna's ready!", but it's enjoyable. The powerpop soundtrack is some of the very best examples of the genre that is powerpop. The soundtrack is great, hands down.

The gameplay isn't as diffucult as people make it out to be. Sure, Resort Island has some turns no one can make with going into the water, and then getting stuck in the water for like 10 seconds, but other than the damned turn, is the game really that hard? Or all you Sonic R haters being a buncha crybabies? Now onto the design of the game. The levels of this game are beautiful and colorful. Radical City reminds me of Casino Night Zone a lot, and while Radiant Emerald is a clear knock-off of Rainbow Road from the Mario Kart Series, it's still a wonderful and great level. The character's 3D modelling are very, well y'know, bulgy I guess would be the right word. Could've been a lot better, I mean look at NiGHTS into Dreams for the Saturn! The character are very smoothly designed and you can't tell they're made out of blocky polygons. I do feel the game was rushed, could've been better, but I'm pretty satisfied with what we got here. Nice little racing game, makes me feel nostalgic. Plus the multiplayer is pretty cool. If you don't like this game, then go continue playing your sucky Sonic CD, we Sonic R fans don't need you.
