Actually, really good.
For starters, it's the first game to feature metal sonic, and the only ever game to feature metal knuckles and metal tails.

I played this when i was like 8 but to be fair i've always been good (brag lol)
The levels involve racing all of the other characters to basically win. Amy is featured as the old-school style with her car lol!
Collect all of the emblems in a level and get first place to race the metal counter part for that level. Beat em and you unlock them. it can't get uny more simple lol.
anyways 10/10 cause i really enjoyed this when i used to play it although i can remeber that the graphics are really bad. The music tracks are ok though.
