This is one of those games that doesn't live up to it's lifetime.

User Rating: 4.5 | Sonic R SAT
Sonic drift and sonic drift 2 were both bad racer games and this is better. It's not the worst sonic game, but it's not the best either. This doesn't make any sense except that you play the game racing with one player. You will easily win with sonic, super sonic. You'll lose with Amy and Robotnik. You win and lose with Metal Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. When there are glitches, there is trouble. And where there is trouble, there is frustration. Where there is frustration, there is Sonic R. Sega's produced at least 1 bad sonic game every year since 1993, but none of them can get lower scores because they already got the lowest I can give them. Now the Saturn games, there are only 3 games in the 6 years of the Saturn's excistence. 6 years and 3 games? Get it through your head. Between 1994 and 2000, there were 3 Sonic games. There's something you can stare at, for let's say, a month. I'll explain it one last time. There were 3 games in the 6 year life span of 1994 and 2000. Now, enough of that, on to the review.

The graphics are powerful and incredible, but it gets pretty boring to look at later on. The sound isn't that glamorious, because of the fact you will notice the sound is broken. The camera was not that pleasant. It's off of target every angle. The controls don't live on. It's hard to control the characters, espicially Super Sonic. The game-play is not very inspering. Robotnik is the main enemy, yet he is a playable character.

But, the most notable thing is the music. There are vocals almost everywhere. You can take the vocals off with the option, but that's worthless anyways. Who would want to listen to music that has vocals and singers in it when you could hear only the music just like every game before it. This would be included in Sonic Adventure, but that was the perfect time. This, however, is not. Other than the vocals, the music was okay, I guess.

This game is good enough to be a cult game. But it's not good enough to become a worldwide phenominom. Rent it online, and when you're done, give it back and go on with you're life. It's fun when you first get it, but when you play it a lot, it doesn't get into you.
