Sonic Heroes is a good game that most people will enjoy, but bad controls and camera hinder how good it could have been.

Sonic Heroes was released for the PS2, GameCube, and XBOX. Of course, I'm talking about the GameCube version, so here it goes:

The plot is that Dr. Eggman is trying to take over the world, and of course, Sonic and his friens are trying to stop him. No matter which story you play, the plot will be the same, although the minor details will differ a bit. In Team Sonic's story mode, Tails and Knuckles find Sonic and warn him about Eggman, prompting Sonic, Tails and Knuckles to try to stop him. In Team Chaotix's story mode, the Chaotix recieve a message that they will get a high amount of money if they track down Eggman. Desperate for money, they accept the mission and try to find Eggman.

The gameplay is where the game really shines. Each team's attack is different, but in the aftermath, they will have the same main effects, with a difference. For example, Sonic's formation will cause a tornado to blow while Sonic hops off, dragging him out of harm's way (and if you're not careful at all, sometimes into a bottomless pit), and Espio's formation will do the same thing, except the tornado is smaller, but Espio is invisible until he peforms another formation or gets hit by something. Each formation also has a purpose of advancing past obstacles, which will be explained throughout the game. It's wild, it's fast, it's exciting, in fact, so exciting I can't describe it in words.

Now onto the controls, the thing that has caused me SOOOO much frustration. It is very sensitive, so a slight tilt, if you're not careful, will lead you to your doom. For the most part, it's fine, but it usually goes out of whack in the most crucial moments of the game, causing me no end of frustration. Why? because of this...

THE CAMERA!!! It's also fine for the most part, but it's the thing that hinders the controls. Like the controls, it also is fine for the most part, but when you're flying to avoild your doom, or if you're piloting a stationary object, it usually underturns or overturns, and because the controls rely on the camera, it has caused me to start the level over a couple of times. If you tilt the C Stick, the camera goes WWAAYY out of wack. Try it, no, don't try it, it's terrible beyond abomination.

Overall, the gameplay prevails over the bad controls and camera, mainly because they are fine for the most part. It's wild and exciting, which is what a Sonic game should be.
