If you are a true Sonic fan and enjoy the elements of time travel. This is the perfect game for you.
GAMEPLAY:
Very well made, challenging and other such. The Time traveling is well made into the game for an important part of the gameplay, You need to go back in time to destroy a device that is linked to the robots so that they deactivate and can not destroy the future, You even get to see some of the robots when they are older and damaged, and what do you do to those robots in pain, you kill them XD. You also meet your stalking girlfriend Amy Rose in this game in a cuter, younger design. THis game also debuts Sonic's most feirce evil rival, Metal Sonic and you face him in a race where one lives, and one faces destruction, all in an effort to save Amy who is being held captive by Dr. Eggman.
GRAPHICS & LAYOUT:
The graphics resemble that of the old Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 with a lot more color and detail. The layout of the past, present and future are well made and such and the enemies are well made, like Caterkiller 2 as I call him, and also the mini movies that happen in the credits and opener are great.
SOUND:
The soundtrack is quite enjoyable in most of the stages, I have never heard the original soundtrack but I am betting it is much better, but eitherway, the North American music is okay most of the time. The sound effects are great as well, some old and some new. This was also the first game to present voices, Sonic's voice was kinda bad even though all he says in the game is "yes" and "I'm outta here", doesn't match any of his current voices or Jaleel White, but it's not bad either, it's okay. Amy however, she sounded cute with her giggle and shout, more like a little kid in a way. Eggman only had a laugh and it was very deep, not bad though, it was menicing and such which made it very cool.
OVERALL:
I would say, avoid the crap Sega releasing now, since Sonic Riders, Sonic has just been crap after crap, and get this game instead, it is no dissapointment.
