A classic game. But I have a question; Sonic, did you gain weight?
"Okay guys, we've got to go up that loop. Push; and push; you're almost there (Sonic pants) Good job. Jump up and down. Higher! Higher! HIGHER! (Panting again) Excellent job people! Fight Robotnik! Give him the Spinning Doughnut! Dodge the attacks! Good job! Exersise over!

What I critisize
As you might have guessed, Sonic is not the fast athletic Hedgehog he used to be; he is a fat diabetic Hog who seems to be the hedgehog version of Mario! This game has ruined Sonic's speed, just like Sonic Spinball (both versions), Sonic Labyrinth and, unfortunatly, Sonic 3D Blast (although I give it a 9.0). The music was awful. It made my eyes SCREAM! The sound was bad. What I Praise
Knuckles appearance was the best appearance he'd ever been. It was one of the best features in this game. I'm glad Sega and Sonic team put him in. The graphics; oh my god the graphics were the best on the Game gear; no doubt about it. They were 32-bit graphics on an 8-bit console (this game holds the record for most powerful graphics on an 8-bit handheld/console along with DKC Game boy color. In fact, The graphics are based off of DKC's). Freaking sweet! The game-play was better than any other Game Gear Sonic title ever! Sonic has to destroy Eggman's latest plans by getting the 5 chaos emeralds (it should be 7). The emeralds are in special stages similer to Sonic 2 and Sonic 3D (for Saturn). Finally, the Silver castle zone is the best zone ever created! Mazes, warps, etc.! This rocks!
Overall
The game is a big classic; but it has bad stuff in it too!
