An improvement upon Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Sonic Next Gen, but isn't quite as awesome as Sonic Adventure

User Rating: 7.5 | Sonic and the Secret Rings WII
Sonic and the Secret Rings is Sonic's first game on the Wii. Though it's a spin-off, it's better than the 3 previous main Sonic games. The story is rather simple, Sonic is taken into a story book by a Sharha, Genie of the Ring, to stop the Erazor Djinn. It doesn't get much better than that. The gameplay is difficult the get the hang of, though once you do, it's quite a bit of fun. The reason it's so awkward at first is because you hold the Wii remote on the side, the nunchuck isn't used at all. This is awkward at first, but it feels natural the more you play it. The graphics are to this day some of the Wii's best, and really showed what the Wii could do. This game has actually some of my least favorite Sonic music. It's just dull to me. The voice acting is better than it was back in Shadow and Sonic next gen, but it's still far from good. The multiplayer is a very bad Mario party clone. Despite the negatives I brought up this is still a pretty good game. It improves upon Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, and the Disasterous Sonic Next Gen, though it isn't quite as awesome as the Sonic Adventure games.
