Very fun, very simple, a total blast!

Ever since I found out about this game I eagerly awaited its release. Boy, was it worth the wait. Very fun! The graphics are very eye-pleasing, there's a good selection of characters that classic Sega fans will enjoy, and a wide selection of modern characters that the younger players will recognize. Each character brings something unique to the race tracks with their very own all-star move which can be used to help win the race. Each character is also given specific states so the players can either play as there favorite Sega character or find the one best suited to them. Adding Banjo and Kazooie is certainly a great addition and makes this zany racing title even better. The only things that are lacking are the items and stages. Ideally, it would be great if each series represented with a playable character had their own game. Instead of Opa-Opa or Alex Kidd having their own stages, we have three ice-themed Billy Hatcher Levels and about three Casino levels from the Sonic series. The items certainly do there job and help the players, but they feel very typical for a racing game. I would have been fun to see some items from Sega titles being used as items. Maybe items from games that weren't in there otherwise. We also got some nice downloadable content. A new race track and a playble metal Sonic. A Ristar cameo too! Sumo Digital definitely succeeded in making a great racing title and giving Sega fans something to really sink their teeth into. It's addictive too! If you have the chance to buy this game, please, do yourself a favor and DON'T pass it up! It's at least worth a couple rents at your local Blockbuster!
