RE: Documents found

In 2009 a search was conducted for agent Mason, that went missing. This an excerpt taken from a document found at one of his safe houses. It appears to be book in progress . Across the top was a hastily scrawled title: Memoirs of a *SOLDIER OF FORTUNE: PAYBACK!!

When I first started playing this game I thought, wow another impossible CoD type of game. Boy was I wrong!! I just had to get used to the controls.
When I first took that mission I picked a sweet assault rifle which I personally customized with a scope and granade launcher, I have to say the agency really does have a good assortment of weapons and custom parts. My back up weapon a more precision rifle, maybe I should have gone with something a little bit heavier or more explosive. Oh well all that is in the pas, like they say you can't go back.
I remember it all too well: I'm sitting in the middle of some 3rd world country and my partner some guy named Miller is giving me cover, the agency is telling me to get a move on. I t doesn't help being shot at by what seems to be a hundred or so terrorist, though I know it's not. Things are exploding and people are yelling to others to kill me!! If I were with Soap, I would be worried, somehow his enemies seem to be very good shots, heh heh I can't help but laugh now, how lucky can a guy get.
It really isn't that hard a lot of ducking and covering but mostly just running behind a good solid wall will help. I keep thinking of the suicidle dumb a$#es who like to run up to me and try to bash me instead of shooting me, what idiots!! All the time I moved slowly so I could draw them out in smaller numbers. There was some falling ordinance and the guy's with the RPG's and explosives charge's were just slightly annoying. Was it me or did every one all seem to just run in packs right at me, or right past me. Most of them couldn't shoot for s#!t, but a few seem to be pretty accurate. No problem, like my good friend Steve says, I'm Hard to Kill.
That first mission had it's surprise's but nothing I couldn't handle and finding my objective was easy enough, (I could see a directional marker which also had a meter range on it telling me exactly where to go) and so it went with each mission. The deepening mystery took a back seat to the horrible dialog, it was like I was stuck in some really bad video game. I always new the missions were coming to a close when I seem to run into their boss. Just like the real world, they were all talk (which seemed to be strangely and annoyingly repetitive). Each one I ran into took a lot of bullets to kill, but eventually they ended up taking a dirt nap. It might have been a different story if they could actually aim, pathetic. The only mission which was a little frustrating would have been the last, those close quarters shotguns can really take you out fast!
Over all I think I had some fun for a couple hours, watching all the body parts flying!! It got really messy! Definitely something I wouldn't let my kids play. It seems the only challenge I ever had was when I was playing a friendly game of capture the flag or disarm the demo..heh heh, yea friendly...but I don't really seem to recall a lot of players, nope no one hardly ever played that game with me, hard to imagine how I ever managed to ACHIEVE anything with out some good friends getting together and BOOSTING the experience...other wise I don't think it would have ACHIEVED much, if anything at all!! I suggest if your looking for a challenge look up my friend Soap or some of my buddies in the F.E.A.R. squad, but if you want easy, just hang out with me for awhile and I'll show you the ropes and we can play once or twice if you need to, if you get what I mean.

As stated before this unfinished document, in which the rest of pages were just random thoughts and ideas waiting to be refined. We are still not any closer to finding out what exactly happened to Mason but knowing Mason as I do, I wouldn't count him out of the game yet. Do we let him continue this book?

*No such book actually exists. A check could not readily find a book by this name and if it does, it's purely coincidental. I apologize in advance for any international incident this may incur, after all this is just a game review
