Ok, I will start by saying that the version I am reviewing is for the Windows Phone. And there was not opion to review that perticular version. I apologize for any differances in the versions, I have only used the Windos Phone OS version.

With the above being stated, the game is a free download so it automaticly gets points abd there is really no reason not to give it a try. The make up for it, however as they always do by offering many in-game items available for purchase as well. There are two types of currency in the game, coins and stars. You earn coins regualrly by doing everything from gunning down enemies to completing quests. Stars you will periodicy earn one at a time when you level up. You may also purchase life bar extensions, additional xp, stars and coins with real money, packs cost from $1.99 to $99.99 depending on the size.

The in game items that you buy for coins (earned or bought) will usually need to be unlocked through level progression before they can be purchased, while the (albiet better) items that cost stars are available as soon as you have the stars to purchase them.

There is also a Lottery aspect where you can win items, coins, and even possibly stars. The lowest pay out is available free every 24 hours. The next three teirs all need to be paid for.

The in game items that can be purchased range from clothing items (each with armor values), weapons, ammunition, horses, and healing items. This does give the game a degree of RPG aspects with charactor cusomization being possible with different outfits; each with head ware, a top, a bottom, and boots (all are interchangable).

While the game is indeed a free download, all the things I have mentioned considered, it gives it a "pay to win" fee that can quickly suck you dry. You can even pay stars to auto complete missions that you fail.

The gameplay does have the open world aspect and you can freely travel anywhere you want on horseback or fast travel to active missions. The story is quite thought out and cut scenes are told by way of a storyboard with decent voice acting. The game feels like a PSP title more than a phone or tablet game. Being that the game is controled by a thouch screen, the controls can be finicky, with the left side drag used for movement and the righ tside meant for axis pitch, wiht a "button" in the shape of a revolver cyinder used for firing. The combat is not too difficult at first and the auto aim is a life saver at times. Any injuries sustained will heal over time even when you are not in game so, unless you whant to pay stars for healing items, you may need to step away from the game form time to time to let things "recharge". Even your "free" boxes of ammo have a cool down time unless you pay for them.

Difficulty at first, as I mentioned, is good with a decent learning curve. But ofter several missions, the difficulty can become overwhelming and make the in game items look much more tempting and you can find yourself spending more real money on the game than you intended.

All in all, good graphics (PSP-esque), compelling story line, decnet controls, and a huge world to explore with numerous missions to complete, this game is worth trying. The multiplayer is even fun, wiht its CTF matches. The Windows phone version even has 200 gamer points worth of achievments to unlock.

With this game being a free download, there is no reason anyone who enjoys the wester, shooter, or adventure genres should not atleast give it a try.
