I am a fan of horror games. So I played the first one when it came out. Altough I did feel scared, the game had many technical problems which just made me feel more irritated than scared. either it was "Press Triangle To Activate Menus For Whatever It Is Your Doing" or "Why Can't I Get Anything The Shibito Is Holding When He Dies?" Or even the "This Death Animation Is WAY Too Long And I'm Falling Through Walls," But now Siren Blood Curse is a major improvement. For starters, there are subtitles, now you can understand what anything anyone is saying, as opposed to having to pump up the volume on your television and still not understand. Also the voice acting has been improved by a power of ten. Japanese characters speak Japanese and American characters speak English, and good English too. Sight Jacking had been improved also, instead of just standing around trying to catch a glimpse into a shibto and having the risk of being mauled by another one, now you can have split screen and continue your game while still keeping an eye on your enemy's movements, you can also pick up weapons your undead enemy drop. Story wise, this game just blew me away. It start as a simple story about an american film crew visiting a Japanese villiage to investiage a sacrifice ritual of some sort, I don't want to give away the story, but let's just say there is enough twist and turns in the story to keep you wondering what's next. When i started the game the camera was very difficult to use, but I went to options i found out i could change the camera type, This made it more enjoyable. In the first siren you felt almost completely useless to fight even one shibito. This time, you feel a bit more powerful, maybe its the ragdoll physics that is used to animate any death scene, but I feels great when you can stab a shovel into a shibito and then yank it back out. This game is great, and I am glad that i got it. IF your a fan of horror games. Check this one out.
