It is a real deja vu.

The main idea of this game is something between Timeshift and Wolfenstein. The idea for time manipulation is from Timeshift but the "rise to power" of the evil ones is similar to the Nazi experiments in Wolfenstein - humans try control something they don't understand.

Again the main thing in this game is the "Time Manipulation Device" (TMD for short). Something similar to Timeshift, but also something completely different. In Timeshift you can only reverse, fast forward or stop time. Here you "play" with time and the objects - make something new or old, freeze time around something. Too bad they show it at the cursor what can be done with the object you are looking at - makes it too easy in the riddle parts of the game.

The plot is also interesting as you must play with events in history to make the present at it was before you arrived at Katorga-12 (the island on which the game takes place). A feeling of deja vu comes up as you discover some comments of your work by ... (Thou shall not spoil the ending).

As of the ending there are more then one, but no of your deeds in the game influence it - at the end you must choose what will happen next. LAME. I was trying to do everything in my power to be the good guy but then ... I actually face-palmed myself for that. When I heard of the multiple endings - I thought it's like Fallout 3 or Mass Effect (1 and 2) where you must "earn" your ending.

By the way the surroundings on Katorga-12 really look and feel like USSR build and the enemy soldier talk (ok, shout) Russian only (with some english words between them, which spoil it). But why are all the signs in Russian and English? Even at the beginning where the history is still ok. The only signs in Russian where even incorrect. For example "No smoking" signs are just translated from English, because in Russian the signs say "Smoking forbidden".

Finally some words to sum everything up. If you do not pay attention to sum details it is a fantastic game and if you do not pay attention - it also is a great game. By the way all possible endings are open for a sequel. Hope there will be one.
