In the age of adventure games this was one of the kings!

User Rating: 9.1 | Simon the Sorcerer PC
I was growing up when point and click adventure games were dieing out but I jumped at all opportunities to try a new one. I got this game when it came out on Amiga but with no save games and an undeveloped brain for these games (I was 5 when I played it) I ended up giving it away with all other Amiga stuff when my Dad bought a new Windows 95. Seven years on I managed to find a reasonably cheap PC version and managed to finish this amazing game. You play as Simon an ordinary teenager until your dog fins a magic book which transports you to a magical world where a wizard by the name of Calypso has been kidnapped and expected your coming so he wanted you to save him. The game couldn't be any easier to control, point and click. The graphics are smooth 2D but have rough edges. The conversations between characters is excellent and the music is magical (no pun intended). There are some tricky puzzles here to be done and will take you a while to complete. You will defiantly have a blast playing this game, go to your shops now and find it, it should be round about a fiver.
