A classic game that I have enjoyed for many years, Simon the Sorcerer lets you explore a colourful world to save a wizard. Add to this the amusing characters and sometimes risqué jokes and you have a highly enjoyable game. Yes it’s old, yes it’s point-and-click but it has some fantastic puzzles and a long play time (if you don’t cheat and use a walkthrough…although you may end up needing one!). The voice acting is good in a cheesy, comedic kind of way. The graphics, although dated, look colourful and exciting with lots of animation in them (woodworms for example, or birds). If you can find a copy of this game, get it and play it. You can get the XP patch if you have Windows XP, so there’s no excuse for not playing.
