Addictive MMORPG.
You create a character, choose the weapon type and armor type you want (you can change it later if you want) and then you get to a town, Jangan (which is usually crowded with people). Now you fight monsters to level up and to get money for new armor and weapons. At level 20 you can choose a "job" for yourself (which you can change whenewer you want). Either a trader which moves from one town to another to gain money, a hunter who protects traders or a thief who robs traders and sells the goods to gain money.
Sometimes it can take up to an hour to log in to Silkroad, as the servers are always crowded with people (I know, I shouldn't talk bad a about this, it's a free game after all). Too much server traffic sometimes causes you to die, which causes you to lose experience which can be very frustrating at times.
Beware, you get easily addicted to this game.
