Great addition to the Horror Genre

User Rating: 9 | Silent Hill: Shattered Memories WII
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is a great addition to the horror genre on the Wii, as the Wii doesn't have many.
The graphics emulated are absolutely stunning, great lighting effects and character models, the detail in every object is amazing, but due to all of this the game will lag from time to time, mainly when Harry enters through a door while running from the "Monsters". It showed Harry "open" the door, but acted like I didn't open it, in other words it stayed put.
The controls are rather nice, and there's no overkill on Motion Controls, even though they don't always work.
The voice acting is top notch, it makes it feel as if I am in the game, the sound effects are quite nice too. The screams are creepy, and just all around fxxked up.
The game has a creepy effect and will make you jump out of your seat, even if only a couple times.
The menu's are easy to get through, and aren't the slightest confusing.
Harry's cellphone is simple, using the D-Pad to move to the button you want, camera, gallery, map etc; Its always fun to phone numbers you find around the game.
My big problem with the game is the fact that my save got corrupt by looking at a picture in my gallery. I didn't even get half way through, and I have to start all over again.
As far as I got, the story is immersive, and well executed.
If you haven't played the original Silent Hill or if you like horror games in general, you should pick this game up. It's a fantastic addition to anyone's Horror collection.
