Silent Hill: Origins isn't the best in the series but it's a good addition to it.

User Rating: 8 | Silent Hill: Origins PS2
Konami released Silent Hill: Origins for the PSP then they decided to release it for the PS2 after the PSP, So anyone who has got a PSP this is an opportunity for you to get the game and play it your self. SH Origins hasn't changed from the other games in the series only difference is it isn't as good as some of the others in the SH series.

In Origins you play as a truck driver named Travis Grady, who becomes involved with Silent Hill after he rescues a little girl from a burning house. As Travis is investigating the mystery surrounding her fate in Silent Hill, Travis also finds him self uncovering long forgotten truths about his child hood.

In Origins there all the good stuff that the fans love to see and then there's also some new additions which are really nice to see. Some of the stuff that we all love to see that are still in the game are of course the atmosphere of the game. You still got to go to room to room basically and search for stuff, the puzzles are ok could have been better. You can also engage in hand to hand combat which hasn't been used in Silent Hill before. Instead of being dragged into the otherworld when ever now you can step in out of mirrors which I thank is the best addition to the game.

But with the good stuff there is also some bad stuff to like the graphics are that good not even close to anything in Silent Hill 1,2,3, or 4. Although there a log of weapons you can use as typewriters, wooden, metal, and TV sets and plenty more. The combat just isn't all that interesting you still have your gun but the ammo is in little supply just like any other time. Save your ammo for the boss battles that's when the game shines.

Overall Silent Hill: Origins is a good installment to the Silent Hill series it could have been better but it's no big deal. So if you're a fan or even a fan of survival horror you'd want to at least rent the game.
