The one that started it all!
The gameplay was unparralelled in its time. With a gigantic range of possibilities, it made for months of non-stop gaming! The huge technology tree and the diverse range of units and buildings made for a game that would NEVER repeat itself!
The graphics, though simple, were done perfectly to match the game's atmosphere of progress. And nothing beats getting ol' honest Abe PO'd!
The sound was lacking only a bit. The lack of constant music in the game was made up for with an awesome theme and little blurbs of music when your civilization advanced or you met with other leaders.
This game is a must have for all of the old time gamers who just can't shake the thought that the oldies were somehow better than new games.
