This game is a reason enough for you to buy a PSP

User Rating: 9.5 | Persona 3 Portable PSP
Since I started playing this game, I can't get my hands off of my PSP. To be honest, I never played a Persona game before so this is my first time.

Pros:

- Amazing story
The story here is what keeps you playing. You can understand the whole story without playing previous Persona games. You will be awakened to your power, which is to summon Personas and being able to function in the "Dark Hour". Only those who have those power can fight the 'Shadows', the enemies.

- Addictive gameplay
The battle mechanics of this game is turn-based. That makes it more strategic. You can attack enemies with your currently equipped weapons, use skill attacks such as fire, wind, electricity, ice, light and darkness that uses up your character's SP. If you used your Persona's physical attacks like slash, strike, and pierce, uses up your character's HP. As you progress, enemies are getting tougher and tougher.

- Great music
After all of the video games I have played since I set foot to this world, this game has the best music, at least for me.

- Better than games like Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Final Fantasy: Crisis Core, etc.
Many of you may disagree with me, this game is better than most PSP games, at least for me. However, it is just my opinion. I have played MGS:PW, FF:CC and many, many more. But this is a game that I totally recommend.

In this game during the day, you are a normal high school student who attend classes, answer exam questions, join clubs, and hangs out with friends. Time here is very crucial, you have to balance your studies, bonds with friends which strengthens your Personas, and more. As you strengthen your bonds with your friends(aka leveling them up), you might be able to find new friends. However, during midnight, you can choose to go to the tower where the enemies are. You can also study instead of going to the tower to prepare for school exams, or level up your personal stats which are Academics, Charm, and Courage. By leveling them up, you will get to meet new people.

Cons:

- No anime scenes
If you have played the PS2 versions of this game, there are anime scenes which are cool. But, those scenes are taken out in this game, and replaced with lamer ones.

- Point-and-click mechanic
In the PS2 version(don't be mistaken, I have never played the PS2 version, I only saw those on videos), you cannot run around anymore. It is replaced by a lame point-and-click mechanic.

- Average graphics
The graphics could have been better. But it's okay, since it's not terrible nor very good.

If you have a PSP, buy this game. You won't regret it, it will be worth it. Wait, it's more than worth it. Even though you're new to RPG games, Persona games, or just looking for a great and addictive game to play, this is the game for you.
