Anyone hungry for seconds?

After playing the first game and being excited at how it ended I was eager to see how they would conclude this wonderful story. The main characters were freed from the Junkyard and arrived in the real world only to see that it was worse off than they would ever know. Apparently GOD has been draining the data from the Earth and all the people and they only was to survive was to become a demon and devour your enemies.

You once again control Serph and his team as you work your way through the Labs and Facilities in order to find out what is going on and how you can stop GOD from destroying the Earth forever.

The battle format is almost exactly as the first game in the elements play a HUGE part in fighting enemies. Once you find your enemies weaknesses battles become very easy and leveling up is just a matter of time. The function of obtaining Mantras was slightly changed but you still need to purchase them and then learn them in order to build up your abilities. You will never be able to obtain them all as its almost impossible due to lack of obtaining fast money. But if you spend a lot of time leveling up (which I totally reccomend) then you should be able to get all the mantitory ones which will help you defeat the game.

The game itself is very straightforward so finding where to go and what to do is pretty easy. The hardest thing is figuring out the main Bosses weaknesses and expoiting them. Learning the Mantras takes most of your time and patience. There are a couple of side bosses but nothing you would miss if you left them out.

I was very dissapointed in how they designed GOD and the final battle. Since I spent a lot of time learning the Mantras I was pretty invincible during the final fight. But how they made GOD look was... i dunno... BLAH. I wont ruin it for you... but I was hoping to see something more extravigant, I mean it is GOD after all right?

Overall I loved this 2 game series and I enjoyed every monute of it. I was addicted to them and played for hours on end. A great addition to any RPG library and PS2 collection.
