A fun adventure game.
My sole complaint is that the game doesn't allow you to mess up. Remember Sierra's early adventure games? Save early, save often? Screw something up and somewhere down the road you found that you couldn't move on and had to either retrace your steps or start over? As much of a pain as that kind of game play can be to me that makes an adventure. In The Awakened there was never any danger of falling off the ledge, or forgetting to pick up a vital object. The game won't let you leave the room until you've got what you need, and you simply can't walk off the path. A little danger would have added some excitiement to the game.
All in all though it was an engaging and enjoyable experience.
