User Rating: 7 | Shaun White Snowboarding PS3
Shaun White, the icon of snowboarding and skateboarding. If you are a fan of him or the sport itself, than it's a guarantee that you will eventually buy this or pick it up to rent. As for me, I picked it up because I am a fan of White, but mostly because snowboarding is my life. Nothing is more relaxing to me than shredding some powder, and this game allowed you to do it.

The story!
Well, there isn't much to the story of this game, you are just trying to make it big in the world of snowboarding. As soon as you start you attempt to do a huge table top, and bailing in the process. Next thing you know, Shaun White is there to help you. He believes you got what it takes to become a pro boarder. From there, he instructs you to pick up coins from each of the hills which are: Alaska, Park City, Europe and Japan. Each place has a total of 4 coins to acquire. Once you have these, you will once again collect the same amount of coins from each level, but now you will have the abilities to do different types of missions to get these coins such as: Super speed to pass the ice zones. Huge Air, to get to high places, and Power Check, which allows you to break through ice caverns. Sure it's a bit repetitive, but if you try to get them all, take the time to do all the runs.

The Game Play!
At first, the game could be a bit confusing, but after a couple of tries, you will become a pro on the board. You just need the patience to do it. It's nothing like Amp snowboarding in the context of controls. When you try it, you will see just how different they are. Also, there is a lot of replay value on this game especially with the trophies designed for the game. Some trophies make you finish all the runs on the mountain, and these runs consist of: Grinding, half pipe, Slalom, Air time and etc... So there are still numerous things for you to do once you have completed the game. Also, the ability to go on the internet at a moments notices is awesome. You can jump online and snowboarding to finish off the main story, while doing this, people who are online will want to compete against everyone, so if you are tired of the story, you can take a break and just try to beat the others in the half pipe, or the racing. all in all it's a good replay valued game.

The graphics!
I thought the graphics in this game were nice, I enjoy seeing nothing but snow, so even if it looked crappy, I would still love it. I do have to mention that, when you are riding down the mountain, you can actually see the glare/glittering snow from the reflection of the sun. Now that's Impressive. I am not going to lie, Shaun White looks retarded in this game, he looked like crap. Ah well, you don't really see him much anyways.

The Sound!
Well if you are a fan of music, than this game is for you. There are tonnes of tracks on this game that I am sure people will love. As for me, I only enjoyed Goldfinger and Illscarlet, some of the other songs got a bit annoying since they are not my kind of genre. As for the voice acting, well it's alright. The voices that get annoying are the announcers from all the big events, they sound beyond stupid. Ah well,

Overall!
If you are a fan of snowboarding than I am sure you will get this game. Of course there are some tweaks to it, but they don't last long because you are there to perform your signature move, whatever it may be. I think it's a solid game and if you were debating on getting the game, than go get it.
