Shank on XBLA is an awesome side-scrolling hack and slash with plenty of blood and enemies to keep you occupied. The game play mechanics are great and the visual movements of your fighter taking apart an enemy is fun to watch. The visual graphics gives it a comic book feel and the storyline in the animated cut scenes can be a bit raunchy so send your kids out of the room. There's plenty of health power-ups in the form of booze bottles to help you stay on top of your game while fighting as well as bomb drops or enemy weapons once they're defeated. Playing through the co-op campaign is fun and helps you to zip through the enemies leading up to the boss fight. The first boss fight for me is hard and I believe requires some strategy and teamwork to beat the overwhelming tag team on the first stage. Overall its an enjoy game and well worth the download.
