Oh my god those are some big creatures...
The Colossi are huge, colossal beings. They can sometimes be very hard to find, but you will usually find them eventually. For every colossi you meet, the next will be again surprising. They come in many shapes, like some are just big giants wielding clubs, while others resemble bulls, fish, and other things.
These creatures are actually the whole game. Thats right, all you do are boss fights. Although, the colossi are usually pretty hard to find out how to kill. They each are tough, but with some persistence you should be fine. You may be feeling that doing this, and only killing bosses is boring, but it is actually very fun and addictive.
Lets talk about the graphics. They wouldn't be considered TOO good by nowadays standards, but for a PS2, they are surprisingly good. Amazing even. The terrain is good, the trees, character models, everything is great. The water affects are especially pleasing. But the real amazing part is the colossi. They look absolutely amazing!
The controls in the game are pretty good. Ive seen some good reviews about them, some bad, but overall, most people seem pleased. I find them satisfactory. Everything is very simple and with practice you will find them extremely easy. The climbing, waling jumping its all good. The horses control, I find okay. A lot of people say his control is just terrible. I find it good, with the exception of a few narrow ledges. There he just freezes up and moves so slow you may wonder if the game is screwing up.
The camera in this game is bad, and needs some practice. It is usually okay when you are walking and battling a colossi, but it is terrible when you are riding your horse. An interesting thing is that when you are swimming, you can put the camera underwater and it looks amazing.
The sound is generally good. It is silent when you are riding around, but I think that suits the game. But when you are battling the colossi, the battle music is just amazing! I always love a particular song, but I can't recall it. The sound is great.
