One of the best RPG's i have played in recent times. A great story and great gameplay make it worth every dollar!

I must say that this is truly an underated game. It does a great job of telling the overused story of "save the world from the bad guy". It has great charecter developement. You'll find yourself caring about the charecters and rooting for certian outcomes. You will even question if the "bad guy" is really all that bad or just following his ideals. You also do not need to have played its predecessor to enjoy this game. Even though it is in a way, a sequel, it does a great job of filling in the blanks and can easily stand on its own.
The battle system is very well thought out. The judgement ring requires some mastery, but it will not leave you frustrated because you constantly keep losing your turn. Mistakes on the ring are not all that costly, but taking the time to learn each players rings is rewarded with critical hits and stronger combo attacks. The combos flow well together. Starting it off with the right charecter is key because the attacks before determine the amount of damage the next charecters attacks will do. Another great feature of the game is the diversity in character abilites and special skills. Yuri's fusion forms are unique and each one has a different attribute and different set of skills. Though, you will find yourself neglecting to use many of the forms because some are just more powerful than others.
The battles and cut scenes are very well done. They are visually impressive and the voice acting is very well done. All the main charecters voice actors did a great job of portraying each characters personality without going over the top like many games tend to do. You will find yourself playing this game for quite a few hours though. The main story line can easily take 60 or more hours but you will find it rewarding. The side quests are somewhat understated though. It doesnt make you feel like they are part of the story and they seem to be just thrown in there to lengthen the game and not just "give" you the ultimate weapon and skills. But it is worth doing all the extra work just to get Yuri's final fusion form DARK SERAPHIM. It looks great and is the key to walking through the rest of the game.
