The mix between history and a great story was addictive. The attack timing mechanic adds pace to the generic rpg model.

I am not even sure why I love this game so much. Probably the fastest and hardest I ve ever played a game, took me a matter of days to beat and then I went back through for the extras. I never played the first one, and the third in the series is not as good. The story line is interesting, and being in the middle of it from the start is an interesting dynamic. This game could teach you enough about WWI that you could pass a High School history course, if you can seperate fact from fiction (hint: demons don't exist). Again, no real reason but it was a fabulous experience.
