Shadow Dancer is a very cool ninja game but however... this is better off as a rental. Should have stayed in arcade.

Okay, I played this in the Sega Genesis Collection. I played because I thought it would be cool. The title sounded cool and it seemed this would be a hell- lot of- fun to play. I played it. At first, I hated it becayuse you die when you get hit one time. After many goes at the game... I started to like it. But this is.... the worse Shinobi game I played in the Shinobi series by Sega. Pros: The dog, Good Storyline, great graphics. perfect music, nice attacks. Cons: Lack of health (if there WAS a health bar... this would have got the same rating I gave Shinobi 3). Graphics- Ahhh. Perfect for a very old game. High quality like all Shinobi games (in the series by Sega). Very well made. Level designs are pretty good. The enemy designs are well-made. Very nice graphics for the Sega Genesis. Gets a 9. Gameplay- Wow. You know... I would have gave the gameplay a 9.... but just one little problem occured: NO HEALTH BARS. That meant that you get killed in just one hit. OMFG. What the hell? That effects the reply value in the game. I want to stay alive so I can proceed farther until I lose a life. That makes the game really hard for me and frustrating. One hit... is not my thing. That's one of the reasons why I don't like Alex Kidd (well I don't hate him. But that's ONE bad part about his games). Listen. The gameplay is perfect for arcade, not for the Sega Genesis. Boss fights are pretty fun but due to the fact of... NO HEALTH BARS makes it frustrating. Yep. Sega should have put in the health bars because in the Arcade version there were no health bars. Gosh. The enemies can piss you off. Due to.... you know it. Still. Gameplay gets a 8.

Sound- The only thing that's perfect. Excellent music. Boss fights are the best. Level music are even better than the ones in Shinobi 3. Gets a 10. OVERALL- Yep. It's fun. But frustrating. This should have never came out for the Sega Genesis. It have been a good idea if they added the health bars! Arcade is the place for this game, not the classic system, Sega Genesis.
