I have never played the original game and I must say it was fun playing the remastered edition. The shooter-platformer is pretty simple, but I must say one should use a gamepad to really enjoy it. The game is pretty solid and you have to get used to the control or you'll have some trouble along the way. The plot is pretty simple: an organisation called Restoration, wants to destroy San Francisco and become a real empire. And you have to do whatever it takes to dissuade and bring down their plans.
You'll have to be quick, because otherwise you'll die a lot.
Anyway, there's one letdown" the framerate." It keeps on dropping all the time and sometimes the game might be unplayable.
Overall it's a good game.
